HMD to use Skyline design a bit more

While I wasn’t impressed with the design of HMD’s first phone (Pulse) or any of the subsequent versions, the Skyline has shown me and the world something entirely new. After the decline in design quality seen in some of the latest models, the Skyline is definitely paving a promising new path.

Following the launch of the Skyline, which combines design elements from several Nokia devices (Nokia N8, Nokia N9, Nokia Lumia 925/830/930), HMD plans to release at least two more models inspired by Skyline.

After revealing the renders of the HMD Hyper, Smashx_60 posted two new renders of a device that HMD is planning to launch. The design suggests it will be based on Skyline, and the colours used are fantastic.

I don’t know how others will comment on these renders, but I like what I see. However, I hope the software is fine-tuned before the device hits the market, as Skyline is plagued with issues that prevent it from being a well-rounded product.

I still question whether the overflooding with various device versions is a good tactic for HMD.
