RichGo removed all the Nokia branded products

Following the steps of Streamview, RichGo also removed all of its Nokia-branded accessories. RichGo was manufacturing earbuds, headphones, power banks, and charging and data cables under the Nokia brand. The products were quite good, and even HMD sold some of their earbuds in the early days. RichGo is now only selling Philips-branded products.

Nokia likely pulled the plug on its branded consumer products and is moving away from that market, focusing solely on networking. The purpose of the once-great Nokia Technology department is now solely for patent licensing, nothing else. It’s unclear if Nokia is even investing in research and development.

Nokia OZO products, along with their standard networking and other patents, are still available for licensing. There may be some development in audio being made, but most likely in audio products’ software, which can be easily licensed.

Ah, the Nokia we all used to know and admire is slowly fading away. Maybe it’s for the best.

Currently, the only company that still licenses the Nokia brand is OffGlobal for their laptops. Still, that company wasn’t as successful in spreading their goods on the global market as RichGo and Streamview were, so it’s definitely not a big loss. The French company will likely end up the same as their partners in the licensing business.
