HMD Tomcat and Nighthawk coming?
|HMD is preparing to announce either two new phones or just one, albeit with two variants. The only remaining device to be announced is the HMD Fusion, unless we count the accidental announcement of the Nokia 3210 by a retailer. However, two new codenames have surfaced on Geekbench, as pointed out by one of our readers. This could indicate the arrival of two new devices, or, similar to the Pulse, two versions of the same device.
The names HMD Tomcat and HMD Nighthawk have emerged, with Geekbench revealing single and multi-core scores for Tomcat akin to those of the Redmi Note 13 Pro (Global), which runs on the SD 7 Gen 2. The scores for the HMD devices are slightly lower, perhaps due to a custom CPU governor. The scores for Nighthawk are yet to be released.
Additionally, both Tomcat and Nighthawk are listed on HMD’s website, specifically within the FAQ section discussing HMD phones that can be self-repaired using parts from iFixit.
I couldn’t uncover any further information, so if you come across anything else, please share it with us in the comments. Thanks to h_1995 for bringing this Geekbench tip to our attention.
