HMD announces refreshed Nokia 6310, 5310 and Nokia 230
|HMD quietly, very quietly, launched refreshed versions of the Nokia 6310 and 5310, along with the Nokia 230 from 2015, when Microsoft was designated to keep the Nokia brand alive.
While I haven’t noticed anything new with the refreshed 6310, which originally debuted in 2021, or the 5310, which came a year earlier, the Nokia 230 (2024) presents a similar design to the original device from 2015. The only thing new is teh USB-C charging port.
The phone features an aluminium back cover and two 2MP cameras accompanied by an LED flash. Back then, the Nokia 230 ran on the Nokia Series 30+ operating system, and the same OS is being installed in the 2024 version.
Here are the specs of the Nokia 230:
- Dimensions: 124.6 x 53.4 x 10.9 mm
- Weight:
- Display: 2.8 inch, QVGA
- Processor: Unisoc 6531F
- Memory: 8 RAM, 16 MB + 32 GB external memory
- Battery: 1450 mAh
- Camera: 2MP with LED flash front + 2MP with LED flash as rear
- Connectivity: BT 5.0, 3.5 mm jack, USB Type-C, 2G network
- OS: S30+
- Colours: White and Black
Nokia 230 should be coming in black and white versions and I must say that the white one looks great. The price is not yet known but the 2015 version was priced at 70€.
Maybe these phones are coming to India in April too.
Cheers Wang_party for the tip 😉
