Certificate reveals more details of upcoming devices
|The HMD TA-1595 model has just been certified in the UAE, and the document reveals that this model will be the HMD Pulse Pro, the affordable smartphone Finns intend to launch soon.
Retailers had earlier indicated that the + and Pro models of the HMD Pulse wouldn’t differ that much. The phone boasts 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The screen measures a classic 6.56 inches, and it is expected to come with Android 14.
So far, Midnight Blue is the only color option for the +, while the Pro version should be available in three colors: Twilight Purple, Black Ocean, and Glacier Green. The price is expected to be set around €160, which is acceptable for an entry-level smartphone.
The basic version is slated to come with Unisoc T606, but hopefully, HMD has prepared something better for the + and Pro versions. While the certificate didn’t reveal this, it did provide some additional information about the TA159V, which is a device set for the US market, and TA-1597, which is a rebranded Nokia T21.
The TA159V features a 4000 mAh battery, while the TA-1597 boasts an 8000 mAh battery, the same as the Nokia T21, confirming that this is HMD’s rebranded tablet. So, there you have it. HMD will soon launch their first smartphone to the market, followed by some rebranded tablets and accessories.
Interestingly, I expected them to use the new model numbering scheme, but these were likely developed as Nokia products, which might be the reason for sticking with the old names.
