Which Nokia phones are receiving Android 14

While we await the Android 14 update for our Nokia devices, it might be good to recall which devices will receive the update. The G and X series phones are expected to receive new OS updates for two and three years, respectively, while some more affordable C series phones won’t see new updates but will be eligible for two years of security patches.

Although Nokia Mobile, or HMD since February 1st, has announced many smartphones, not many phones will receive Android 14. The devices that are expected to get the update include:

So, only nine devices will receive Android 14. This number isn’t substantial, so it shouldn’t take much time for HMD to deliver it. However, as HMD is not a super-large company, and considering that all software variations need to be checked and tested, delays are expected.

Apart from the Nokia G42, which has already received the A14 update, the Nokia X30, Nokia G60, Nokia G22, and most recently, the Nokia G11 Plus, have been tested with it, according to Geekbench test results. HMD still needs to test the OS update for the Nokia X10, Nokia X20, Nokia XR20, and Nokia XR21, as these phones have not yet appeared on Geekbench. Perhaps HMD will release it before MWC 2024, but that time frame is rapidly shrinking. As the saying goes, “better late than never.” However, I would add that it’s more crucial to prioritize quality over speed to avoid potential bugs.

There is a nice website that is keeping track of the updates, and you can check it out here. The site androidupdatetracke is nice, but don’t expect to find an answer to your most wanted question, when.

Anyways, If I missed any phones, please ping me in the comments.
