HMD received Platinum EcoVadis rating for 2023
HMD has achieved a second consecutive Platinum EcoVadis 2023 Sustainability Rating, placing the company in the top 1% globally. The first Platinum rating was achieved in 2022. This rating highlights HMD’s proactive sustainability approach, which is evident in its products, materials, and culture. EcoVadis assesses the company’s commitment to creating value for people, partners, and the planet by delivering high-quality, affordable, and long-lasting mobile devices, reducing electronic waste, and making a positive impact.
EcoVadis rates sustainability in four key areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. It evaluates all the companies willing to implement these standards.
Here’s an interesting tidbit: a good friend of the blog, Dean Patrick, implemented the EcoVadis supplier sustainability ratings platform back in 2017 when he was working for HMD. Good job, Dean! ?
