Nokia Clarity Earbuds 2 Pro seems nice accessory
Another interesting accessory launched at MWC2023 is definitely Nokia Clarity Earbuds 2 Pro. Nokia Mobile didn’t talk much about it, nor have presented it properly but I think they should since they do look like a nice upgrade to the massive fail called Nokia BH805 or Nokia Noise Cancelling Earbuds.
I haven’t even seen the reviews of Nokia Clarity Earbuds 2 Pro which does seem like an interesting product. Well, or Nokia Noise Cancelling Earbuds were also promising but it turned out to be a messy combination of poorly done controls and badly tuned audio.
Anyways, I like the design of the ear hanging buds, at least the design I see on renders. The case seems to be rounded well so it won’t be a hindrance in your pocket.
Buds are bringing Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity standard, active and environmental noise cancellation (ANC+ENC), wireless charging, in-call -light ring indicator and they support fast pairing. IPX4 rating is enough for buds to survive sweat and some accidental rain drops but you should avoid showering with them.
With the Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation, Nokia Clarity Earbuds 2 Pro takes out distractive noises and thanks to the AI speech enhancement technology, your voice can be heard clearly in calls even in noisy environments. There is also an in-ear detection which is a nice feature that stops the playback once you take the one bud from your ear to communicate.
Charging case is built with 70% recycled plastic the product is packed in 100% recycled paper (bloody finally).
The 13 mm neodymium drivers should provide a powerful and crisp audio which should last for up to 36 hours thanks to 380 mAh battery in the charging case and 48 mAh in each bud. Buds can be charged wirelessly, but it would be super cool to have a Nokia device that supports reverse charging.
I haven’t seen it in the stores which is a shame, and I suggest Nokia Mobile to work on the visibility of their accessories (if the reviews are good). Accessories, especially the audio ones, is where the money is being made.
