Nokia Mobile working on new phones

Lately, it has been quiet regarding the new Nokia phones. Well, not so long ago Nokia Mobile launched its best, Nokia X30, which was followed by a more affordable G60, entry-level C31, and refreshed T20 tablet, or Nokia T21. Although these phones seem like a nice roundup of what Nokia Mobile can offer, there are still some interesting phones to be expected.

While I’m not expecting the successor of the Nokia 9, there is a chance to see the next version of the Nokia 8.3 (Nokia X80 maybe). If that ship has long sailed away, maybe we are yet to see a successor of the Nokia XR20, the ultimate tank of smartphones.

Nokia Mobile has kept the new phones pretty well under wraps. Not much has leaked about them yet, but there are some hints about upcoming devices. If you look at the EUIPO page, you’ll see that there are diagrams of all the recently released phones. But now five more phones have appeared on the page. The first one was filed right at the beginning of November, and the last one was filed on November 17.

These fillings do not tell us anything about the phones or the release dates, as they usually become available after the announcement. But we could expect them in about two months when Mobile World Congress is coming up. CES is also a good place to unveil new devices, especially if they are destined for the U.S. market. If that’s true, then we could see new phones exclusively for that market which will reveal the future direction of new Nokia midrangers.
