HMD Global started rolling out the March security update for the Nokia 2. Nokia 2 now joins the ranks of Nokia 5 and 6, for which HMD also started rolling out Google’s latest security patch for Android a few days ago. At the moment, the security update for Nokia 2 seems to be available only for the Indian version, but versions for other markets should follow soon. As always, HMD delivers security updates in phases so not all phones received the update at the same time.
To check for the update manually, that’s about 85MB in size, head to Settings->System->System Update. Nokia 2 still runs Android Nougat, but should soon receive Android 8.1 directly, that brings a lot of Android GO improvements for phones with lower end hardware.
If you’ve received the update, tell us which model number and how it went in the comments down below. 🙂
