New Nokia X and G series devices incoming

Nokia Mobile held a small online press event back at MWC2022, where the company announced some new affordable smartphones and discussed the future plans. The exact release date of the new X series successors wasn’t given. Still, some indications of X20 and 8.3 successors were disclosed, but with not so much detailed information, as usual.

Numerous released FCC documentation suggested that Nokia Mobile is working on new devices (and some tips too), and now the confirmation is coming in a form of an X21 render. The render was released by a Twitter user or account called @nlopt70 and judging by the design of the device, the render looks legit.

Anyways, Nlopt70 showed the most likely new Nokia X21, the successor of the pretty good X20. The rectangular camera module is here to stay which suggests that Nokia Mobile is still sharing the same ODM as Motorola. However, the camera setup could be impressive judging by the lens aperture.

Nokia X21 will be coming with the relatively new Snapdragon 695 5G, and there is finally an OLED display with a large 6.7″ diagonal and 120Hz refresh rate. The battery is set at 5,000 mAh which should be enough for two-day usage. Nokia X21 could come with a dual-camera setup that has a 64MP main camera, 13MP ultra-wide and a TOF sensor for good bokeh effects. the Zeiss optics & PureView tech are also there and we could be seeing it in two memory arrangements, 6/128GB and 8/256GB.

If you ask me, this seems like a nice midranger, but let us wait and see the official specs.

Nlopt70 also shared a photo of a device in green colour that also has a rectangular camera module with 50 MP AI sensor, and this G series phone should support 5G and could be coming with FHD+ 120Hz Display.

The exact announcement date is still not known, but since the renders are leaking, we could be seeing them rather soon.

Warm regards to michi who tipped us.

P.S. Some of this is a bit old, but better late (something you don’t want to hear from your girlfriend) than never (I wish the new camera module design never happened).
