Official: Nokia C1 Plus launched globally with Android 10 Go
|Around this time last year, Nokia Mobile launched the Nokia C1 and revived the Nokia C series. It was a 3G smartphone targeted at the ones who were making their transition from a feature phone to a smartphone. Fast forward to March 2020, the Nokia C2, the 4G successor to the Nokia C1, was launched.
We also have the successor to Nokia C2, but Nokia Mobile somehow decided to go back with its naming scheme and launched the new Nokia C1 Plus, placing it between the Nokia C1 and Nokia C2. Nokia C2 already brought 4G to the C-series, but Nokia C1 Plus has now become the most affordable 4G Nokia smartphone yet. Nokia C1 Plus has an all-around solid polycarbonate body to protect from accidental drops, which Nokia Mobile claims was tested for over 50 tests.
It runs on Android 10 Go with lighter apps and less bloatware to give you more storage space, which can hold up to 3000 songs or 13 hours of HD video. It has got a 5.45-inch HD+ in-cell display set in a 18:9 display ratio. There is a 5 MP camera with HDR imaging above the screen, which can also be used for securing your phone with facial recognition, and a dedicated front flash. Similarly, you will get a 5 MP camera with HDR imaging and flash on the back as well.
Nokia C1 Plus is equipped with a 2500 mAh battery, which can power the device for a whole day and will use a 5 V, 1 A rated charger to refuel it. The 1.4 GHz quad-core processor is paired with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage, with a microSD card slot for up to 128 GB. Interestingly, all the Nokia C-series phones till now had the Google Assistant button, but Nokia Mobile decided to skip it on the Nokia C1 Plus.
