Nokia 5.4 design revealed by FCC, coming with a punch-hole display and quad camera

The existence of the Nokia 5.4 was first revealed by the Australian retailers, where the device was listed with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory in Blue and Purple colors. Thereafter, we saw that FCC certified two different variants, which are TA-1333 and TA-1337, of a new Nokia smartphone in the last few days. Yesterday, another variant with model number TA-1340 of the same smartphone was certified by FCC. Surprisingly and probably by mistake, the user manual of the device has also been added.

The filename of the user manual reveals that it is none other than the Nokia 5.4. As per the user manual, Nokia 5.4 will sport a hole-punch display, which will house the front camera. At the front, there is also the earpiece above the screen and the Nokia branding below the screen. The back of the Nokia 5.4 looks inspired by Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 8.3 5G. Similar to Nokia 5.3, the Nokia 5.4 will come with a quad-camera setup at the back and a fingerprint sensor placed below it. However, the flash has been placed outside the camera module, similar to what we have seen in the Nokia 8.3 5G. The good news is that the speaker is on the right side at the bottom so it shouldn’t be covered.

The dual SIM model will have two SIM card slots and a microSD card slot. The device will ship with a 5 V, 2 A (10 W) rated charger to refuel its 4000 mAh battery. The highest SAR value of the device is 0.99 W/kg against the ears, and 0.95 W/kg, when worn on the body in a holder or carry case. The TA-1333 and TA-1340 are the Americas (specific) variant, while TA-1337 is a Rest of World (RoW) model of Nokia 5.4. The only strange thing is that it supports just 2.4 GHz spectrum for WiFi, but that might change till the announcement.

The specifications of the Nokia 5.4 that we know as of now:

  • Models: TA-1333, TA-1337, TA-1340
  • Colors: Blue, Purple
  • Dimensions: 161 x 76 mm, 171 mm diagonally
  • Display: About 6.4″
  • RAM: 4 GB
  • Internal storage: 128 GB
  • Battery: 4000 mAh
  • Audio: 3.5 mm headphone jack, FM radio, Qualcomm aptX
  • Connectivity: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz, NFC

The design also looks similar to the earlier leaked renders of the new device from the Nokia 7 series.

We will definitely get to see the launch of the Nokia 5.4 and the Nokia C1 Plus soon, if not the new devices from the Nokia 6, 7, or 9 series 🙂
