#Nokia phones back home: All user guides on Nokia.com
|A reader tipped us with an interesting revelation that some user guides of older Nokia devices were posted on Nokia.com/phone. We dug a little deeper, and found the whole support site with all Nokia models’ user guides. Everything that is branded as Nokia, with the exception of Lumia Devices, is listed on this domain page. Including Asha devices, feature phones with S30, S30+, S40, and smartphones with Symbian, Meamo and MeeGo OS. Also, a lot of user guides for official accessories are there, too.
The return of Nokia gadgets back home at Nokia.com could be a term in the Microsoft-FIH-HMD agreement signed on 18th May, 2016. FIH Mobile agreed to acquire Microsoft’s mobile unit (leftovers of Nokia’s sold Devices and Services Business) for $300 million, and the 10-year license for the Nokia name on feature phones was transferred to HMD. Maybe some intellectual property, like the Asha brand or design patents were transferred, too. I checked EUIPO, and the Asha trademark is still owned by Microsoft Mobile.
It’s good to have all Nokia user guides under one roof, especially under the old Nokia.com roof. This way HMD could try to attract more traffic to Nokia.com/phones, and simultaneously try to offer the new Nokia devices to the users searching for old guides.
It is good to mention that all the company B2X (outsourced by Microsoft) is dealing with the warranty and service of the devices.
Did you find any user guide from your phone at Nokia.com.? Tell us more in the comment section down below. 🙂
Thanks Rocky for the tip. 🙂
