AA has first hands on Nokia Smart TVs and Streaming Box coming to Europe
|It was recently announced that Nokia signed a new brand licensing deal with StreamView, a company that decided to bring new Nokia Smart TVs and Android Streaming Box to Europe. After a successful cooperation with Flipkart in India, new Nokia-branded TVs and media streaming gadgets will also be available to European customers.
Android Authority got some early hands on of one of the upcoming Nokia Smart TVs for Europe, as well as the Nokia Streaming Box 8000. As AA writes, the new Smart TVs will range from 32″ 1080p to 75″ 4K, while featuring Android 9. The exact models mentioned are 3200A (32″, 1080p), 4300A (43″, 4K), 5500A (55″, 4K) and 7500A (75″, 4K).
The media streaming device Nokia Streaming Box 8000 comes in a rectangular housing and will support up to 4K video playback. Compared to Nokia Media Streamer we reviewed that supports FullHD resolution and comes with Android 9, the Streaming Box 8000 will run Android 10, but also retail at around 99 euro, which is 3 time the price of the “lower end” box sold by Flipkart.
The prices of the TVs aren’t defined at the moment, so we will have to wait a bit longer to find that out. The new products should be available for the holiday season, but right now there aren’t any product pages up on StreamView’s or Nokia’s website about them.
Thanks pk for the tip. 🙂
