More rumors: Nokia 7.1 with Snapdragon 636 incoming?!?

We are just a day away from HMD’s London event on 4th October, but that doesn’t mean new rumors about the upcoming devices, that may be announced tomorrow, won’t appear until the announcement.

The upcoming info about Nokia 7.1 is something a reader Gonele (thank you!) pointed out few days ago, when Amazon Spain listed the Nokia 7.1 on their webstore. The specification and looks of the phones were odd, mainly because they are worse than 6.1 plus and the phone features a notch and costs 349/399 euros, so we decided it wasn’t legit enough to cover it.

However, a well known source from mobile industry Roland Quandt yesterday posted the same info about the upcoming Nokia 7.1, codnamed Rooster or ROO, and that adds to the credibility of the Amazon site when we now have two sources confirming the same thing.

Specs of the alleged Nokia 7.1 (TA-1100) follow down below:

  • 5.84-inch FullHD+ screen
  • Snapdragon 636
  • 3GB RAM / 32GB of storage + 4GB of RAM / 64GB of storage
  • 15 x 7.2 x 0.8 cm
  • 12MP + 5MP ZEISS rear camera, 8MP front camera

The price of the phone is set to 349 or 399 euros, probably depending on memory variant and the phone should be announced on 11th October, according to Roland, with sales start on 22th October in Europe. That date is the same as on Amazon Spain.

Still, take it all with a pinch of salt. Everything is rumors until it is official.

HMD is holding an event in London tomorrow, and I think that we might see the 7.1 and 7.1 Plus there.
