Nokia 5.3 just 146 euro in Belgium, while the 8.3 5G dropped to 474 euro with free Power Earbuds (BH-605)
|Maybe the two most attractive smartphones Nokia Mobile announced this year (thus far) are the Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 8.3. The 5.3 came relatively quickly to the market compared to Nokia 8.3 and proved to be a solid device that is facing tough competition in its price range. The same situation is with the 8.3, though that one isn’t on sale yet, but in Belgium the pre-order price of Nokia 8.3 5G and the sales price for Nokia 5.3 has been lowered to attract more customers.
MediaMarkt in Belgium is offering the Nokia 5.3 4GB/64GB variant for 146 euro (172 dollars, 12,720 INR), which is an appealing price, just like in Finland.
The Nokia 8.3 5G (64GB) in MediaMarkt and VandenBorre is priced at 474 euro, which is significantly less than the announced global average price of 599 euro back in March. MediaMarkt claims to have the device in store, while VandenBorre offers 23rd September as the delivery date. With the purchase of the new Nokia 8.3 5G, customers will also get the Nokia Power Earbuds (BH-605) worth around 90 euro.
It seems Nokia Mobile did decide to push some promo offering via retail partners to have a “strong” sales start for the 8.3, at least in Belgium. The device is coming to market with a half-year delay, which reminds me of the glorious Symbian days in a bad way, so some price reduction was expected. Hopefully, more markets will soon see the 8.3.
Thanks Thomas for the tip. 🙂
