Nokia 5.3 and 5310 coming first to India

If you head over at the Nokia.com page and checked for new Nokia phones available or going to be available in India, you’ll see that Nokia 5.3 and 5310 are already being listed as newcomers.

This suggests that the Indian market is likely to see Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 5310 first, while Nokia 1.3 and Nokia 8.3 5G might be available later during the year, or never.
Nokia 5.3 is the Nokia Mobile’s midrange fighter, and it is reasonable to make it available in India as soon as possible. On the other hand, Nokia 1.3 is aimed at emerging markets like Africa, and it is not the priority for India, especially since Nokia 2.2 and 2.3 are still available there at good prices.

Nokia 5310 could be a hit in India where feature phones are still being sold a lot, and this partial remake of Nokia 5310 Xpress Music is priced quite reasonably.
Nokia 8.3 5G is more aimed at the European and US market. Those markets are transitioning to 5G networks more quickly, and folks in India won’t be able to take full advantage of its capabilities since 5G is still in works there, and commercially available networks are expected in 2021. Indian operators invested a lot into 4G which is quite advanced there, and I believe they will try to exploit that investment a bit more before the transition to 5G.
So, Nokia 5.3 and 5310 are coming to India, but the price is still not set for that rather competitive market. I don’t expect the price to be higher than the global average (15383 INR/ 3174INR) on the contrary, it could be lower than the global average.
