Nokia will be testing autonomous delivery robots at Paris-Sarclay campus

At its Paris-Sarclay campus, Nokia has an autonomous delivery robot (ADR) up and running. The ADR was developed by the Last Mile Autonomous Delivery (LMAD) project which is funded by EIT-Digital research funders. The main idea is to test a software platform for delivery robots. Since the campus manager Sodexo, together with Nokia, decided not to deliver parcels less than 5kg to the campus employees, an automated delivery robot would save the employees of a trip to the central warehouse to get the ordered parcel. Nokia will be conducting an extensive pilot program in the first quarter of 2020 with the goal to operate the autonomous robots across the whole campus, but that will be challenging because of serious roadblocks about technology, authorisations and customer acceptance.
Anyway, this is cool!

Thanks Nokiamob lover for the tip 😉
