Android 9 Pie rollout starts for Nokia 3.1

Nokia Mobile officially started rolling out the Android 9 Pie update for the Nokia 3.1. The 3.1 is a Premium built device placed in the lower end of the price spectrum, coming with features as 5.2-inch 18:9 display, MediaTek’s MT6750N SoC, 13MP rear camera or a 2990mAh battery at a price point of around 130 euros.

Nokia 3.1 was announced last year in May and came with Android 8.0 out of the box. HMD’s CPO Juho Sarvikas announced via Twitter today that Android 9 Pie rollout has started for the 3.1. The rollout start doesn’t mean that all Nokia 3.1 units will get the update right now. As always, the rollout is phased and during the next few weeks most of the 3.1’s should be on Pie.
