Europe might be an important market for HMD Global, but India was always a Nokia stronghold. HMD is paying a lot of attention to the Indian market, and it should since it has a chance to grow there steadily. I recently spoke with one guy from India, and he told me he used to adore Nokia, and that now he is using Samsung. He was more than happy to see me holding Nokia smartphone again, and then he said he didn’t know Nokia was back.
Just because of that reason, HMD needs to establish a connection with former and new Nokia fans, and they are doing something for that matter.
Nokia Mobile India tweeted that Nokia Mobile is holding an exclusive fan event in Bangalore named #GoBig and that Nokia fans can even get a chance to attend the event. At this particular event, fans will probably get to play with Nokia 3.1 Plus that was launched recently in India, and with the existing Nokia phones. I definitely approve this kind of effort where fans can meet and get their hands on new phones, and hoping to see more of this across the world.
