Tomorrow in London HMD Global will announce the latest addition to their family of Nokia devices. The event starts a 17.00h London time and will be broadcast live via Facebook. A day before the event, alleged photos and specs of the anticipated Nokia 7.1 leaked, and a week before we saw photos and specs of Nokia 7.1 Plus, that will probably be called Nokia X7 in China.
The rumor mill doesn’t stop there, and there is plenty of time until tomorrow’s event to speculate a few more things. Soumimobiili.fi reports, that a source inside one of Finland’s big retailers shared info with them about the upcoming Nokia accessories the store will offer. Among them is something called “Nokia True Wireless Earbuds V1” under the model number BH-705, suggesting Bluetooth headphones. Apart from the name and product number, the price was also shared with Suomimobiili.fi, and the Earbuds should retail for 108 euros, or at least that is the current price in the retailer’s database.
Apart from wireless, the source mentioned a wired heaphones WH-501 called “Nokia Active Wired Earphones V2” (there is already a V1 of WH-501) that should retail for 30 euros. CC-270 flip case for Nokia 7.1 retailing at 11 euros and CC-170 clear case for Nokia 7.1 at 8 euros were also mentioned in retailer’s database.
Nokia already has wireless and wired earphones that they offer, alongside some cases and car chargers. The full portfolio of Nokia accessories can be found here.
I don’t really have an opinion about earbuds in general, but I see the need for them in HMD’s accessories portfolio because their flagship Nokia 8 Sirocco doesn’t have a headphone jack (and that trend could continue). I’m glad cases for the Nokia 7.1 are already prepared (if this info is true), because almost all customers buy protection for their devices.
