The ‘hide notch’ option will be enabled, says Nokia Mobile

After a short outcry of fans and customers about the Nokia 6.1 Plus losing the option to hide the notch on the device after the latest August update, Nokia Mobile stated that the option will come back.

Just to close the “notch gate”, we will enable setting to black out notch on the Nokia 6.1 Plus.

HMD’s Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas stated via Twitter that the option to “black out notch” will be enabled on the Nokia 6.1 Plus. This comes after a moderator at Nokia Community Forum stated that Google required from HMD to remove that option. That response from forum moderator was removed, but a screenshot of the response exists and can be found here.
