Two days ago we covered rumors about the upcoming launch of a new Nokia device. On Chinese social network Baidu a user posted a photo of a poster showing an unknown Nokia device with a notch, that is assumed to be the Nokia X5. The source claimed that the Nokia X5 will be announced on 11th July, and today, the official Nokia Mobile Weibo account in China confirmed that.
This morning Nokia Mobile posted a teaser on their official Weibo account for a soon announcement of a new phone. The teaser claims that a new phone from the X series is coming in 3 days. Most certainly it is the teaser for the Nokia X5.
Nokia X5, according to TENAA, is a device similarly looking to Nokia X6, but with a bigger notch. It features a lower-resolution screen (5,86”, 720 x 1520), 3 to 6GB of RAM, coupled with 32GB and/or 64GB of memory, 13+5MP back camera, and a MediaTek processor. The price should also be lower than that of the Nokia X6.
At JD.com, there is also a teaser for the soon announcement of a new Nokia device. The teaser is similar to the one Nokia Mobile posted on Weibo, but it also mentions the time – 21:05. Maybe the device will go on pre-orders via JD.com the same day Nokia Mobile announces it. The teaser is up on Suning and TMall, too.
Also, the same source that first posted the announcement date of Nokia X5 said that during this quarter HMD will announce Snapdragon 845 and Snapdragon 710 powered devices, so we can expect an exciting summer.
