Apparently Nokia 5.1 plus passed the TENAA certification
|A new Nokia model TA-1109 has just passed the certification process by the Chinese TENAA agency. The Chinese certification didn’t reveal the name of the device, but it could easily be Nokia X5 for the Chinese market or Nokia 5.1 plus for the global market. More important than the official name is definitely the technical specifications of the device which has been revealed.
Nokia 5.1 plus specifications:
Dimensions: 149,51 x 71,98 x 8,096 mm
Mass. 160 g
Body color: Blue, Black, White
Display: 5,86” (720 x 1520), LCD, 19:9 screen ratio
Processor: Octa-core, 2.0 GHz
Battery: 3000 mAh
RAM: 3, 4 and 6 GB
ROM: 32, 64 GB
OS: Android 8.1
Camera: Dual back camera 13 + 5 MP / 8 MP front camera
We met this device model before, at the end of April when it passed the CCC certification together with the X6. The photos of the device haven’t been published yet, but trust me this will be published soon enough. At least we got a glimpse of it in the recent leak of its CAD-based render. The strangest thing about this device is 19:9 screen ratio, probably because of the notch, but that probably won’t bother many of you. By the way, when we wrote about that notch hiding software update for the X6, someone from Baidu posted an official render of 5.1 plus. probably the X5 or 5.1 plus will have the same option.
This still doesn’t mean it will be launched globally, but HMD wouldn’t be pushing two devices with a notch for no reason.
