Live from Moscow: Launch of new Nokia phones
The day of the second global event this year has come, where Nokia Mobile will be announcing new members of their 2018 lineup of smartphones and featurephones. At the beginning of the year, Nokia Mobile announced the Nokia 6.1, exclusively in China. After that, we saw the global premiere of Nokia 1, 6.1, 7 plus, 8 Sirocco and Nokia 8110 4G at MWC2018. A few weeks ago, the Chinese market again got a new member from the Nokia family, the notched Nokia X6, and today we will see the latest addition(s) to the Nokia family ready to fight for their place under the sun on the global market.
I won’t be saying much about expectations, because we already wrote about it here, but HMD has been really secretive this year, and we practically have no idea what will we see today. Yeah, we can expect the new 3, and 5, but we know nothing about them.

Hi guys, the event started, with band and Pekka Rantala jumping on the stage. It looks like this is going to be an important event :).

Florian Seiche has just been announced on stage, and I like that band that is doing that Nokia tune differently every time.
Nokia is now present on 200 markets and are actively selling phones at 90 markets. Interestingly, Nokia is now leading the list of best feature phone manufacturers. Regarding the smartphones, Nokia is starting to show up on many markets on the top 5 manufacturer list, and it is there also on Russian market.
This is strategy of Nokia Mobile, Expend, Deepen and Innovate!

Juho is speaking of production process and testings that Nokia phones are going through. HMD is also torturing Nokia phones to make them better for us 🙂
Finally, all the users of Nokia 8 will get new camera app starting this Friday. It is complete overhaul of the camera, not just an update.
So, all the Nokia phones, well smartphones will be getting Android P. Nokia 7 plus is now able to get latest P Beta.

Nokia 2 (2018) is the first new phone!
Sapdragon 425 and bigger screen are the key points of this phone. This phone will use less battery so its life is 3 hours longer. It has 5.5″ HD screen, dual stereo speakers placed on front so you can enjoy both picture and sound.
Nokia 2 will come with polycarbonate body. This phone will come in July and will cost 115 USD in key markets. It will ship in 3 colour, blue copper, blue silver and black.

Nokia 3 will be available in Blue/Coper, Black Chrome and White/Iron. This phone is shipping already and it will be available by the end of next week for €139.
New Nokia 5 is the third new Nokia phone presented in Moscow. It is made out of aluminum, beautifully designed with nice mat finish. It will have a bigger 5.5″, 18:9 FullHD screen with 443 pixels per inch density. Another new thing is 16 MP AF camera. It will be shipped in Copper, Tempered Blue and Black colour. Nokia 5 will be available this July for €189
It will have MTK Helio P18 Octacore asymetrical processor that will give Nokia 5 40% better performance.
