Pricing and release dates announced for Nokia 6 (2018), 7 Plus and 8 Sirocco in India

At today’s Nokia Mobile event held in India, HMD Global announced their new Nokia smartphone lineup for the Indian market, giving info about availability and pricing. Without further ado, here are the prices and release dates of the Android One family of Nokia devices.

Nokia 6.1 will retail at 16,999INR (€212) starting April 6th via the official Nokia Mobile store and other retailers online and offline
Nokia 7 plus is priced at 25,999INR (€325), with pre-orders starting April 20th and sales on 30th April via Nokia Mobile store and Amazon
Nokia 8 Sirocco will cost 49,999INR (€625). Pre-orders will begin on 20th April, with sale following on 30th April via Nokia Mobile store and Flipkart

The Nokia 1 is already available in India for 5,499INR (€68), but there was no mention of the availability or pricing of the Nokia 8110 4G.

It is good to see that the newly opened Nokia Mobile store will be offering all the smartphones, that come to India at a reduced price compared to the announced “global average price, without taxes and subsidies”. India is an important market for HMD and extremely competitive, just like China, so the lower prices aren’t a surprise at all, at least not to me.

The new Nokia smartphones (Nokia 1, 6.1, 7 plus and 8 Sirocco) should be globally available from this month.
