HERE acquired indoor maps maker Micello
We have been hearing a lot in the past few years about someone buying this percentage, someone that percentage of HERE, once proudly part of Nokia. Now, finally, HERE bought someone else, but not anyone insignificant. HERE bought Californian based Micello company that is working on a platform for creating, editing and publishing indoor maps.

HERE has been working a lot with HD maps for autonomous cars and various other transportation vehicles. This could help a lot for HERE to extend its business to indoor mapping of airports, museums, garages, stadiums, shopping malls, airports, stadiums, etc.… Actually, if you are in a bigger shopping mall and start HERE WeGo app on your Nokia 6, you can probably see an indoor map created by HERE. This business acquisition can only make those maps better.
By the way, are you still using HERE Maps for your daily navigation? I’ve been traveling a lot lately and found it great for big city commuting.
