#Nokia 8 6GB+128GB memory version passes #FCC

HMD Global submitted to the FCC information about updated versions of Nokia 8 TA-1004 and TA-1012 that feature more memory and other improvements. For quite some time, we are hearing from various sources about a variant of the Nokia 8 with more RAM and internal storage. Last week, HMD Global notified the FCC about a Nokia 8 variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, alongside with a new screen supplier, ANT+ and WCDMA Band IV, both enabled by software.

The panel for this version of Nokia 8 should come from JDI, or better known as Japan Display. The reason for a second supplier could be of logistical nature, meaning LG cannot alone manufacture Nokia 8’s display because HMD is probably ramping up production for a US, China or India Nokia 8 launch.

ANT+ is a wireless technology that allows communication between devices from different manufacturers. It’s mostly used in sport’s equipment, and more about it can be found here. Also, the 6GB+128GB version will support WCDMA Band IV.

The biggest change is more RAM and internal storage, that will probably be followed by a higher price. This version is rumored to appear first in China  and the US, but we could also see it in India and the rest of the world later on.
