Nokia phones would not be complete without Nokia branded accessories. Remember the good times when with every Nokia Lumia phone came even more beautiful Nokia accessories like JBL Play UP or 360, DC-901 chargers, Nokia battery chargers, Bluetooth headset, phone holders, cases etc.
HMD Global didn’t follow the same pace as Nokia did, but they did show some of the accessories for Nokia 6, 5 and 3 at the MWC in Barcelona. On the official pages of the Nokia phones, if you would scroll all the way down you could see some of it, but that was it. We knew that new headset exists (BH-501, WH-501, slim hybrid case…) but couldn’t see the specs of it.
Now the Nokia accessory got the dedicated page at Nokia.com and specs are given too. Currently you can find there the latest wired (WH-501) and wireless (BH-501) headphones that can also serve as a headset. Both headphones are in-ear models and are beautifully designed with casing made of diamond cut aluminum. I love how the design follows the lines of Nokia 6, and that the aluminum is used for casing so they could be more durable. Nokia says that earphones are fine-tuned with solid bass tones, and are water, sweat and dust proof.
There are some differences between the wired and BT earphones so let’s just recap them.
Multifunction key for power on/off, call, track, volume control
Multipoint connection for pairing with two phones
Passive noise cancelling
Water and dust-proof
Nokia stated that you can control your music and calls with the earphones. Battery of 45 mAh should be enough to give you 8 hours of talk time or 8 hours of music time. It takes about 1.5 hours to recharge them. These earphones are compatible with Nokia Android phones while the compatibility with other phones may wary. The price and availability is still not stated.
