Hands on: Nokia 6 Silver and Arte Black Limited Edition

MWC has kicked off, and our favourite brand is back on the show. In fact, Nokia stole the show, mainly because of the re-introduction of the 3310. However, the phone that we personally felt attracted to throughout the most of the HMD’s event was the Nokia 6, and here is our hands on the Silver and Arte Black version of it.

To be precise, Nokiamob authorized two colleagues from our partner blog Mob.hr to report for us and tell us the hands on experiences of the announced Nokia smartphone. The report from Barcelona was sent in, and first impressions of Nokia 6 Silver and Nokia 6 Arte Black Limited Edition are ready to be shared with the public. Together with some good photos.

First off, Nokia 6 Silver. Nokia 6 Silver is an absolute beauty. The design, and especially the build quality is quite surprising for a €229 phone. The screen is decent, Android runs smoothly – seems like a well rounded device. The Silver color variant is astonishing, and our favourite compared to other colours. The device feels solid in the hand, and it stands out from the competitors in the low to midrange category.

Nokia 6 Arte Black Limited Edition looks beautiful, and the “shiny Black” colour reminds us of Apple’s Jet Black. A big problem is that Arte Black is a fingerprint magnet, which could be problematic for many. Arte Black comes with more RAM, and more internal storage, but we didn’t notice any difference in performance while we were playing with the device. We didn’t have much time to run games or similar intensive apps, but the extra GB of RAM most certainly has a positive effect on the overall performance of the device.

To recap the specification of the devices:

  • Display: 5.5-inch Full HD (1920x1080p, 403ppi), 500 nits
  • Processor: Snapdragon 430 (4 x ARM A53@1.4GHz) + Adreno 505 GPU
  • Memory: 4GB RAM for Arte Black /3GB for standard + 64GB internal for Arte Black/32GB for standard + MicroSD
