Timo Ihamuotila is leaving #Nokia
|Long-time Nokia member and CFO since 2009, Timo Ihamuotila, announced that he is leaving Nokia. Timo came to Nokia over 15 years ago, and is leaving to Swiss company ABB. Ihamuotila will continue in his current role as Nokia CFO and as a member of the company’s Group Leadership Team until December 31, 2016, and will remain as an advisor to the company until February 28, 2017.
If you remember, almost a month ago, Guido Jouret, CTO of Nokia Technologies, left Nokia and went to ABB to pursue his dreams and develop new technologies. Maybe this is coincidence that both high Nokia executives are leaving to the same company, or maybe there is new acquisition taking place J. Maybe it is worth to mention that Timo was competing for the place of CEO of Nokia together with Rajeev Suri, and of course lost.
His place will take Kristian Pullola, who currently is Nokia’s Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller, who said it is thrilled to be chosen as a new CFO and that will continue the good work and bring value to shareholders.
There’s been some changes in the Nokia Group Leadership Team which will from January 1, 2017 consist of the following members: Rajeev Suri, Kristian Pullola, Samih Elhage, Federico Guillén, Basil Alwan, Bhaskar Gorti, Hans-Jürgen Bill, Kathrin Buvac, Ashish Chowdhary, Barry French, Marc Rouanne and Maria Varsellona.
We wish all the best to Ihamuotila in future ventures.
