Nokia has struck another networking deal, and released first 4G network in Myanmar. Nokia has just completed network upgrade for Ooredoo in major cities (Yangon, Nay Phi Daw, Mandalay, and Bagan). The deal was done in just under three months and now Ooredoo can beside 3G offer faster 4G network to its customers. 4G network is operating on 2100MHz band by Nokia Flexi Multiradio 10 Base Stations. Ooredo’s 3G network was also upgraded using the Nokia Single RAN and Packet Core platforms. The upgraded network offers great indoor coverage and increased capacity to meet future demand.
New super-fast network will surely help this fastest growing economy in Asia. Now Myanmar can sit, relax, and happily wait for 5G network implementation.
