HMD’s upcoming low-end smartphone, the Nokia 2 that is rumored to be officially unveiled next week in India, allegedly appeared on Antutu benchmark service. The model number in question is TA-1035, the same that appeared in Bluetooth SIG certification this week. The specifications shown by AnTuTu benchmark results are:
Qualcomm Snapdragon 212
1280×720 screen resolution
8MP rear + 5MP front camera
1GB RAM, 8GB ROM
Thanks to earlier leaked renders (evleaks), we know how the 2 look. It reminds me a little of Lumia devices, with the specifications being similar to Lumia 550/650. Unlike Windows 10 Mobile, Android 7.1.1 does need more power to run smoothly, so I am highly sceptical about the 1GB of RAM. I still hope it will be 2GB or that the device will run Android Go, Google’s Android version for devices with 1GB or less RAM.
