Nokia again ranked No. 1 for mobile core portfolio competitiveness by Omdia

Nokia has again taken the top spot in Omdia’s Market Landscape: Core Vendors report. This is the second year in a row that Nokia ranked No. 1 for mobile core portfolio competitiveness.
Omdia evaluated 12 vendors in its 2026 report. Nokia was named a leader in all seven categories.
These include portfolio breadth, cloud-native maturity, signaling, automation, Core as a Service, AI/ML and analytics, and other network function implementations.
The result comes as operators continue to modernize their core networks. Cloud-native platforms, automation and AI are becoming increasingly important.
Nokia has been expanding its portfolio in these areas. Recent deployments include 5G Core SaaS, Core SaaS Edge and network resilience solutions. The company is also involved in core modernization projects for telecom operators and mission-critical networks.
Omdia gave greater weight to AI/ML and analytics in the 2026 report. This reflects their growing role in network automation, efficiency and service development.
For Nokia, the ranking is another strong result for a business that sits mostly behind the scenes. Nokia may still be best known by many for phones, but its network infrastructure business remains one of the industry’s major players.
