A comprehensive new leak has exposed virtually every detail of the highly anticipated Redmi 17 4G ahead of its official launch, leaving little to the imagination. From a gargantuan battery to its core processing power, the latest intel paints a clear picture of what Xiaomi’s budget-friendly sub-brand is bringing to the table.
MediaTek Settles the Processor Debate
Putting an end to weeks of industry speculation, the leak confirms that the Redmi 17 4G will be powered by MediaTek’s 12nm Helio G91-Ultra chipset. This effectively debunks previous certification listings that had pointed toward a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 processor.
Interestingly, the Redmi 17 4G shares several model numbers with the upcoming POCO C95 Pro 4G in various global databases. If historical rebranding trends hold true, the POCO variant is highly likely to feature the exact same MediaTek silicon rather than a Snapdragon chip.
Built for the Budget-Conscious Consumer
Despite its budget positioning, the Redmi 17 4G boasts some surprisingly robust hardware. The front of the device is dominated by a massive 6.9-inch flat display with an HD+ resolution (1600 × 720). The screen supports a snappy 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and achieves a peak brightness of 825 nits in High Brightness Mode.
