Nokia X30, G60 may miss Android 15 update promise

A bit of worrying chatter is spreading across X (Twitter) and user apps. The Nokia X30 5G and Nokia G60 5G might not receive the Android 15 update, despite earlier expectations tied to HMD’s software support policy.
According to posts shared by users and community accounts, HMD Global allegedly pointed to performance concerns, particularly related to photo processing slowdowns, alongside potential software compatibility issues with Snapdragon 695 5G hardware. While this information isn’t officially confirmed, it has already sparked frustration among loyal Nokia users.

The situation escalated further after one user claimed that HMD customer support ended a chat conversation abruptly, offering only a partial refund (around 33%) instead of a software solution. Screenshots circulating online suggest HMD considers this their “final offer,” which has only added fuel to the discussion about customer support and long-term update commitments.

For context, both devices were marketed with multiple years of Android upgrades and security updates, which is why missing Android 15 would feel like a significant shift from expectations.
At the moment, there is no official public statement from HMD Global confirming that Android 15 is cancelled for these models. Until that happens, this remains an unverified but increasingly discussed possibility.
We’ll keep an eye on the situation and update you once (or if) HMD provides a clear answer.
Thx KaizerAllen for the tip 😉
