Nokia Booklet X15 Enterprise leak reveals rugged laptop

A new leak suggests that Nokia is expanding its industrial portfolio beyond smartphones. Alongside the Mission-Safe Phone 2, the company is reportedly working on a rugged laptop called the Booklet X15 Enterprise.

According to @smashx_60, the device is designed for business and field use, combining durability with versatile features. It comes with a 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen that reaches an impressive 1,000 nits brightness, making it usable even in direct sunlight.

The chassis is built to handle tough conditions. The laptop is said to survive drops from up to 1.8 meters and carries IP65 certification for resistance to dust and water splashes. It also meets MIL-STD-810H and G standards, ensuring operation in extreme temperatures and vibrations.

Under the hood, the Booklet X15 Enterprise is expected to run on an Intel Core Ultra 5 125H processor, paired with 16 GB to 64 GB RAM and up to 2 TB of SSD storage. Other highlights include a modular expansion bay, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, integrated 5G, and Windows 11 Enterprise.

A 5 MP IR camera should support secure facial recognition login, adding to its enterprise appeal. Pricing and availability are still unknown.

While it’s great to see Nokia exploring new device categories again, I’m personally not too excited about this one since it’s clearly aimed at enterprise users rather than the general public. Still, it’s always fun to see new Nokia hardware being planned.
