iQOO 15 Ultra Design Revealed: Features Active Cooling and “2077” Color Scheme

Following a series of promotional teasers in the Chinese market, the official design of the upcoming iQOO 15 Ultra has been fully revealed. The latest materials provide the clearest look yet at the flagship smartphone, confirming a distinct focus on gaming performance and futuristic industrial design ahead of its expected launch in early February.
Sci-Fi Inspired Aesthetics
The visual identity of the iQOO 15 Ultra draws heavy inspiration from science fiction themes. The device will be available in two distinct color variants: 2077 Flowing Orange and 2049 Cold Blue.
As the nomenclature suggests, the finishes appear to reference iconic Cyberpunk and Sci-Fi media. The Flowing Orange variant offers a bold, energetic aesthetic, while the Cold Blue option presents a more restrained visual style. The rear panel features a hexagonal honeycomb texture, reinforcing the device’s performance-oriented identity.
Functional Design and Active Cooling
Beyond aesthetics, the chassis of the iQOO 15 Ultra incorporates several functional gaming elements. The design is anchored by a large, square camera module with a transparent finish. Housed within this module is a horizontal light strip that serves as a “breathing light,” a staple of gaming hardware.
Notably, the device integrates an active cooling system. An air intake vent is discreetly positioned beneath the camera module to manage thermal performance. Additionally, the frame includes dual shoulder buttons, emphasizing the phone’s utility for mobile gaming control and responsiveness.
Performance Benchmarks and Hardware
Coinciding with the design reveal, iQOO Product Director Galant V shared initial performance metrics for the device. According to shared AnTuTu benchmark data, the iQOO 15 Ultra has achieved a score exceeding 4.51 million points. The executive noted that this figure does not represent the device’s peak potential, as software optimization is still ongoing.
The handset is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. To sustain high frame rates during extended sessions, the aforementioned active cooling fan will play a critical role in thermal management.
Memory Configurations and Launch
Industry reports suggest that iQOO is targeting the ultra-premium segment with its memory specifications. The iQOO 15 Ultra is tipped to start with a base configuration of 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, while the top-tier model could offer a massive 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
The company has also alluded to the introduction of proprietary gaming technologies focused on audio, visual fidelity, and control latency. Official pricing and availability details are expected to be announced at the launch event in early February.
