Samsung Expands One UI 9 Rollout to Galaxy M56, A35, and More in India

Samsung is expanding the reach of its Android 17-based One UI 9 interface, rolling out the stable update to a fresh batch of mid-range smartphones across India. The latest deployment specifically targets the Galaxy M56, Galaxy A35, Galaxy F17, and Galaxy M17, bringing upgraded system performance, interface refinements, and the October 2026 security patch to more affordable hardware.
The update sizes and firmware versions vary slightly across the newly supported devices. For the Galaxy M56, the upgrade arrives as firmware version M566BXXU7DZJ1, requiring a 2.2 GB download. Galaxy A35 owners who opted out of the prior beta testing phase will receive a larger 2.7 GB package designated as A356EXXUBEZJ2. Meanwhile, both the Galaxy M17 and F17 are receiving their updates via builds ending in DZJ5, each weighing in at approximately 2.4 GB.
While One UI 9 delivers a modernized software experience, Samsung curates the specific feature set based on individual device capabilities. As a result, these mid-range models will benefit from enhanced system fluidity and core interface tweaks, but they will not inherit the complete suite of advanced features reserved for the company’s premium flagship tier.
Samsung is utilizing its standard staggered rollout approach for this release, meaning the software will not appear on all devices simultaneously. Users who have not yet received a push notification can manually check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Because of the substantial file sizes, users are advised to connect to a stable Wi-Fi network and ensure their devices have sufficient battery life and free storage before initiating the download.
