Nokia Completes Infinera Acquisition

Nokia has officially integrated Infinera, consolidating all Infinera-related products, news, and support under Nokia’s umbrella. This merger, which was announced last year, enhances Nokia’s optical networking portfolio, surpassing competitors in both depth and breadth.

Infinera is significant because it is a key player in optical networking, specializing in high-capacity, high-performance optical transport solutions.

So, the acquisition should accelerate product innovation and roadmap execution, bringing faster, more differentiated solutions to customers. With optical technology playing a crucial role in edge-to-core capacity expansion and power efficiency, Nokia is now positioned to drive innovation at scale. I believe that Nokia will be showing the gains of Infinera acquisition at MWC2025 which starts on Monday.
