Ramzi Haidamus stepping down from #Nokia Technologies
|Nokia has just announced a bit sad news that Ramzi Haidamus is stepping down as the President of the Nokia Technologies, and from the Nokia Group leadership Team starting from September 1, 2016. Haidamus will stay in Nokia Technologies for another month to ensure a smooth transition of the division, and after it will pursuit business happiness elsewhere. Nokia started searching for the successor, and while the right person is found, Nokia Technologies Brad Rodrigues will be acting president.
No specific reason was given in the official statement. Ramzi told that after he successfully transformed a collection of ideas and assets into a focused and profitable business, it’s time for him to leave and find new opportunities to pursue his passion of transforming business.
Haidamus came to Nokia in 2014 what was a pretty challenging year for the Finnish company. Before Nokia he spent 17 years in Dolby Digital and made that company world known for quality sound we experienced in Nokia Lumia 920.
Rajeev Suri told that he is grateful to Ramzi, since he formed a brand new business that had managed in short time bring Nokia back to the consumer market with acquisition of Withings, creation of VR camera OZO and signing the deal with HMD Global to reinstate Nokia logo to smartphones.
We wish to Ramzi Haidamus all the best in future ventures.
