Nokia TA-1206 certified as Nokia 2.3 DS in Egypt, Malaysia

As we are getting closer to Nokia Mobile’s single device launch event in Egypt, more and more info about the device that we know under model numbers TA-1206 and TA-1214 is appearing online.

The latest information comes from a certification agency in Egypt, where authorities identified Nokia TA-1206, the Dual SIM version of Nokia TA-1214, as Nokia 2.3 DS, where DS stands for Dual SIM.

The TA-1206 was also certified in Malaysia, where connectivity info like WiFi b/g/n support and network bands were revealed, but nothing much from that.

The Nokia 2.3 will most likely be announced on 5th December in Cairo, at Nokia Mobile’s launch event. I’m personally still hoping for a higher end device that will make in time to the market before the New Year, but “evidence” suggests otherwise.
