Nokia Mobile support app updated with “Recommended apps” feature

The Nokia Mobile Support app, that comes preinstalled on every Nokia Android smartphone, received a new update today. The new update bumps the version number up to 1.7.4 and brings a new feature to the application called “Recommended apps”.

HMD’s CPO Juho Sarvikas made an announcement about this update on Twitter, saying that the new “AI boosted ‘Recommended Apps’ tab” will help you find apps that “fit your life style where ever you are”.

I remember that a similar app existed on Lumia phones for making users familiar with apps that exist in the app-lacking Microsoft app store. It’s a nice feature, but don’t think it’s nearly as usable as the great “Device Monitor”. Also, maybe HMD is using this feature to test some AI they developed before (hopefully) further implementation in the OS on a more usable level.

You can find the Nokia Mobile Support app in Google Play Store here.
