OriginOS 7 Beta Launched: Full Vivo and iQOO Device List

OriginOS 7

Vivo has officially kickstarted its next-generation software cycle by opening internal beta registrations for OriginOS 7 in China. This early testing phase offers tech enthusiasts and developers a preliminary glimpse at Vivo’s upcoming operating system before it reaches the broader public, covering a wide array of flagship Vivo and iQOO smartphones and tablets.

Limited Slots and Testing Timeline

The OriginOS 7 internal beta is highly exclusive, capped at just 3,000 tester slots per eligible device. To assist with detailed bug tracking, Vivo is dividing these slots into two categories: 500 participants will receive builds with system logging enabled, while the remaining 2,500 will test a standard, non-logging version of the software.

The registration window opened on September 7 at 10:00 AM local time in China and will close on September 13 at 11:59 PM. Vivo plans to finalize and announce the list of selected participants by September 15. The highly anticipated beta update will then be pushed to approved devices on September 16, between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

The beta program currently supports 14 premium devices across the Vivo and iQOO ecosystems.

How to Apply and Pre-Installation Warnings

For users in China with an eligible device, applications can be submitted directly through the device settings. Navigate to Settings > System Management and Upgrade > System Upgrade, and select Upgrade Early Access.

As with any early software build, Vivo cautions that the OriginOS 7 beta is still deep in the development phase. Testers should anticipate potential system instability, abnormal battery drain, and compatibility issues with third-party applications. While installing the update will not intentionally wipe existing device data, Vivo strongly advises all participants to perform a comprehensive data backup prior to installation. The primary goal of this rollout is to gather critical user feedback to polish the operating system ahead of its eventual stable release.
