Pixel 11 Images Leak Ahead of Launch: 30x Zoom, 256GB Storage and $899 Price Rumoured
Google is expected to introduce the Pixel 11 series on August 12, but the company’s upcoming flagship is already taking shape through a growing number of leaks. Fresh promotional images reportedly reveal the standard Pixel 11 in multiple colours, highlight a possible 30x zoom mode and point to expanded AI-driven features.
The latest material comes from veteran leaker Evan Blass, who has shared what appear to be official marketing images of the regular Pixel 11. The leak follows an earlier batch of Pixel 11 Pro Fold visuals, suggesting that Google’s full hardware lineup is beginning to emerge ahead of its expected announcement.
Brighter colour options
The new images offer a detailed look at the Pixel 11’s design and show the handset in several colourways. Previous leaks have pointed to four finishes: Hibiscus, Frost, Obsidian and Pistachio.
While Obsidian is likely to serve as the traditional dark option, Hibiscus and Pistachio appear to be the more distinctive choices. Both shades look considerably livelier than the muted blacks, greys and silver finishes that continue to dominate much of the smartphone market.
The images also reinforce the familiar Pixel design language, with Google apparently sticking to a recognisable visual identity rather than pursuing a dramatic hardware overhaul.
AI and camera upgrades
The marketing assets reportedly promote agent-style AI capabilities, likely tied to Google’s wider Gemini Intelligence initiative. The exact functions remain unclear, but the feature could point to a more proactive AI experience capable of helping users manage tasks, surface information or carry out actions across the phone.
Google also appears ready to market a 30x zoom capability on the standard Pixel 11. It remains uncertain whether this refers to conventional digital zoom or an AI-assisted processing feature similar to the generative Pro Zoom mode used on last year’s Pixel Pro devices.
That distinction matters. The Pixel 10 reportedly reached 20x digital zoom, while the more advanced Pro Zoom branding has been associated with Google’s higher-end phones. If the base Pixel 11 genuinely reaches 30x zoom, it could signal a notable camera upgrade for the non-Pro model, even if some of that improvement relies heavily on computational photography.
Pixel Glow remains uncertain
Earlier promotional images of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold reportedly showed off a lighting feature called Pixel Glow. The newly leaked material for the regular Pixel 11 does not showcase the same function.
Its absence does not necessarily mean the standard model will miss out. Google may simply be reserving the feature for different marketing material, or it could remain exclusive to selected Pixel 11 models. The company is expected to clarify the feature split when it formally unveils the lineup.
Expected specifications
Earlier information suggests the standard Pixel 11 could feature a 6.3-inch OLED display and a 4,985mAh battery. Google may also increase the base storage tier to 256GB, a move that would bring the phone closer to the storage options increasingly offered by rival flagships.
The leak further points to a potential starting price of $899. If accurate, that would position the Pixel 11 as a premium mainstream smartphone rather than a more aggressively priced flagship alternative.
What to watch for
The remaining questions centre on Google’s implementation. The company still needs to explain what its new agentic AI tools can actually do, whether 30x zoom is a standard or generative feature and which Pixel 11 models will support Pixel Glow.
With the launch reportedly only days away, the leaks offer a strong indication that Google is preparing an iterative but meaningful upgrade: familiar hardware, bolder colours, more storage, expanded AI and a camera feature designed to generate attention.
