Motorola Edge 70 Pro: India Launch Date, Full Specs, Features, and Colors

Motorola is preparing to expand its premium mid-range lineup with the Edge 70 Pro, a phone that pairs a high-refresh AMOLED display, a large battery, and upgraded imaging hardware ahead of its India debut on April 22. Motorola has already confirmed several core details, positioning the device as a feature-heavy alternative in the upper midrange segment.
Motorola has officially set April 22 as the launch date for the Motorola Edge 70 Pro in India, ending weeks of speculation around the company’s next Edge-series release. The handset is scheduled to go on sale through Flipkart, Motorola’s online store, and offline retail channels, indicating a broad commercial rollout from day one.
On paper, the Edge 70 Pro appears designed to compete on the pillars that matter most in this category: display quality, battery endurance, camera versatility, and fast charging. Motorola has confirmed a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution, a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, and peak brightness rated at 5,200 nits, suggesting a strong focus on multimedia and gaming performance.
Performance will be handled by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and supported by a 4,600 mm² vapor chamber for cooling. That combination points to a phone built not only for day-to-day responsiveness, but also for sustained workloads such as gaming, multitasking, and extended camera use.

Motorola is also emphasizing imaging, with a triple rear camera system led by a 50MP Sony Lytia 710 main sensor with OIS. The phone will additionally include a 50MP ultrawide camera, a 50MP front-facing camera, and a multispectral sensor, giving the Edge 70 Pro a camera setup that appears to lean heavily into detail, color accuracy, and low-light performance.
Battery life could become one of the device’s strongest selling points. Motorola has confirmed a 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging, while the software side includes Android 16 out of the box, three years of OS upgrades, and five years of security updates. The package is rounded out by Gorilla Glass 7i protection, IP68 and IP69 ingress resistance, Hi-Res audio, Dolby Atmos, and three finishes: Pantone Lily White, Pantone Tea, and Pantone Titan.
