HMD DUB Series: Three New TWS Earbud Lines Coming Soon!

HMD Global is diving deeper into the audio world. Alongside their efforts to expand the phone lineup, they’re also gearing up to launch a new generation of wireless earbuds under the HMD brand. The new HMD DUB earbuds will arrive in three series – the X50 ENC, X50 Pro ANC, and S60 ENC – each targeting a different type of user, from casual listeners to demanding audio lovers.

HMD DUB X50 ENC – Solid Essentials
Available in black and white, the X50 ENC is the entry model that still packs some solid features:

  • 4-mic AI ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) for clearer calls
  • IPX5 water resistance
  • Low latency mode – ideal for gaming or video
  • HMD Dub Audio App support
  • HiFi DSP with “Dub Platinum Sound”
  • Seamless in-ear detection
  • One-touch voice assistant
  • Battery life: up to 7.3 hours on a single charge, up to 35 hours with the charging case

HMD DUB X50 PRO ANC – Premium With Active Noise Cancelling
This is the most advanced model, coming in Blue, Pink, and Silver. On top of everything in the X50 ENC, it adds:

  • Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)
  • Multipoint connectivity – connect to two devices at once
  • Designed for users who need crisp sound and maximum focus

HMD DUB S60 ENC – Great for Everyday Use
The S60 ENC sits in the middle and comes in Grey, Silver, and Purple. These are ideal for daily calls and music listening, offering:

  • 4-mic AI ENC with Dolby Audio
  • Bass-boosted “Dub Platinum Sound” mode
  • IPX5 splash and sweat resistance
  • Clear call performance
  • Up to 35 hours total playtime
  • Low latency mode, voice assistant, in-ear detection, and multipoint support

All models come with a pair of earbuds, charging case, USB-C cable and a user manual.  They also support the HMD Dub Audio App, which should allow users to customize sound profiles, update firmware, and monitor battery levels.

While there’s no official launch date yet, the product packaging and documents indicate that everything is ready. It’s likely these earbuds will launch alongside new HMD phones in the second half of 2025. With the DUB series, HMD Global is clearly signaling its ambition to enter the personal audio space with confidence. Whether you’re looking for affordable everyday buds or premium ANC ones, the new lineup has something to offer.

Given how underwhelming HMD’s previous earbuds were, I’m not expecting a miracle in audio quality this time either. But hey, maybe they’ll surprise me—when I actually get to try them.
