Nothing Phone (3) Official: Design, Specs and Prices

Nothing Phone (3)

In an industry dominated by predictable glass rectangles, Nothing remains steadfast in its mission to be different. With the introduction of the new Nothing Phone (3), that determination has been pushed to its absolute limit, resulting in a device that is simultaneously strange, daring, and for the first time—an undeniable flagship.

The most striking change is visible on the back. The familiar thick LED lines of previous Glyph Interfaces are gone. In their place sits a small, circular display tucked into the upper right corner—a feature Nothing now calls the Glyph Matrix. This mini screen still carries the same cryptic, sci-fi DNA the company has built its design language around, but now with a focus on greater utility. It offers a handful of quirky tools like a pixelized mirror and mini-games, and Nothing is opening it up to developers via an API.

Nothing Phone (3) – True Flagship Performance

This is the first time Nothing is officially calling its phone a flagship, and the hardware backs up the claim. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, a cutting-edge 4nm chipset whose performance lands roughly in the same ballpark as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. While not quite in the top-tier “Elite” territory, it’s a monumental leap ahead of the hardware inside the Phone (2)—Nothing says it’s approximately 2x faster.

The camera system has also received a serious upgrade, with each of the four shooters on board being 50 megapixels:

  • Main 50MP shooter with a large 1/1.3” sensor and a bright f/1.68 lens.
  • 50MP Periscope zoom camera offering a 70mm focal length, up to 60X AI super-resolution zoom, and even 10cm macro shots.
  • 50MP 114-degree ultrawide camera.
  • 50MP front camera capable of shooting 4K video.

It’s the most ambitious imaging system Nothing has built so far, signaling that the company is finally ready to compete beyond just design gimmicks and clean software.

Polished Hardware and Software

The rest of the hardware seems equally polished. The bezels surrounding the 6.67-inch flexible AMOLED display are just 1.87mm thin. The panel itself delivers a sharp 1.5K resolution and peaks at an eye-searing 4,500 nits of max brightness.

Under the hood, there’s the company’s biggest battery yet: a 5,150mAh silicon-carbon cell. Charging is quicker too—65W charging (up from 45W on the Phone (2)) will get you from empty to 50% in only 19 minutes.

Software has always been a big part of Nothing’s pitch. The Phone (3) ships with Nothing OS 3.5 on top of Android 15, with a commitment to 5 years of OS updates and 7 years of security patches.

Nothing Phone (3) – Price and Availability

Entering the flagship segment brings a flagship price tag. The Nothing Phone (3) will be available in two configurations:

  • 256 GB storage model priced at €749.
  • 512 GB storage model priced at €849.

Pre-orders for the Nothing Phone (3) begin on July 4, with the official release date set for July 15. The Phone (3) proves that the company is done playing in the margins and is ready to bring a sense of fun and originality back into a smartphone world often stuck in a cycle of safe upgrades.
