Nokia Expanding Wi-Fi 7 Portfolio with Beacon 19

Nokia has just announced the launch of its latest tri-band Wi-Fi 7 mesh gateway, the Beacon 19, which promises to revolutionize home connectivity by providing speeds over three times faster than Wi-Fi 6 devices. The Beacon 19 can deliver up to 19Gbps of Wi-Fi capacity, making it ideal for modern households with multiple devices and high-bandwidth activities like 4K streaming, gaming, and smart home tech.

Powered by Nokia’s Corteca software, this device allows seamless management of home Wi-Fi and offers service providers the flexibility to monetize new services through containerized applications. The Beacon 19 also supports multi-link operation (MLO), allowing devices to simultaneously send and receive data across different frequency bands, improving overall network performance and reducing congestion.

With the rise of XGS-PON and 25G PON services, such Wi-Fi upgrades are essential to keep up with multi-gigabit home services. According to Nokia, the Beacon 19 is designed for service providers to ensure a best-in-class experience, and it supports TR-369 for advanced device management.

The Beacon 19 will be showcased at Network X in Paris, marking Nokia’s ambitious step toward powering the connected homes of the future.

No official pricing has been released yet, but given its advanced features, it could be positioned to attract both operators and tech-savvy consumers looking for next-gen Wi-Fi performance.

The beacon’s design is good although I prefer the roundish body of beacon 3. But man, this is one of the rare occasions now to see some real Nokia products. Find more about it at the dedicated Nokia pages.
